Bremen / Hamburg The chartering of the dry cargo vessels in the whole German canal area is being carried out by the united departments of the company's head office in Bremen and the branch office in Hamburg. Our Hamburg office deals with the cargo from the sea ports of Hamburg and Lübeck as well as from the canal area east of Fallersleben and of the River Elb region. Our Bremen office is attending to the sea ports of Bremen/Bremerhaven, Brake and Nordenham as well as to the ports on the River Ems, the River Weser and the western canal region. Modern canal-going vessels above 1.000 t cargo capacity are being employed. With these we transport bulk cargo, such as coal, construction material, soils etc., capable of being loaded and discharged by grabs, and masses of baled cargoes such as steel, wire, cellulose and timber. The cargoes are being accepted on schedule, partly directly from the arriving sea ships, saving double handling charges. When loading ex warehouse of the producers/factory we secure the delivery by a reliable departure of the quantities. Shipments of cargoes of larger volume, such as containers and heavy cargoes, will be examined precisely as to how these shipments will be practicable and will then be carried out.
